Our rental agreement, in plain English
Every rental is covered by one simple agreement: sign it once and it covers you for a full year. Here's a summary of what it says, and the complete document is right below if you'd like to read every word. (We hope you do.)
Your deposit
A 30% deposit paid by credit or debit card holds your date, and it is due within 24 hours of your confirmation. It is a security deposit, not a payment toward your rental fee: the rental fee itself is due by the date on your invoice. You get the deposit back in full within 5 business days once everything is returned clean and damage free.
Full details: Section 9
Cancelling
Cancel 7 or more calendar days before your pickup date and everything you have paid, deposit included, is refunded in full within 3 business days. Cancel 6 or fewer days out and it becomes a raincheck good for one year from the date you cancel.
Full details: Section 10
The card hold
Before we release your equipment, we run a card authorization covering its replacement cost and any cleaning fees. It is a hold, not a charge: nothing is billed to it unless repair, replacement, and cleaning costs come to more than your deposit covers. The hold is released once everything is returned clean and damage free.
Full details: Section 8
Returning late
$50/day late fee; 3+ days late is treated as unreturned and billed at replacement cost.
Full details: Section 2
Taking care of the gear
Use it as intended, keep it at the event address, supervise kids around it, return it clean.

If something breaks
Any damage, loss, or cleaning charge comes out of your deposit first. If it costs more than your deposit covers, the difference is charged to the card authorization on file. Either way you get an itemized invoice within 5 business days of the return. Report pre-existing issues immediately at pickup.
