This is the real thing, not a countertop novelty. It pops a batch in a few minutes and keeps going all afternoon, which matters more than you would think at a party where forty people all want a bag at once.

Kernels and serving bags come with it, enough to feed a full party without a grocery run. If you are expecting a crowd, add a kernel refill to your Wish List and you will have another eight servings ready to go.

The smell is honestly half of what you are renting. Set it near the entrance and people find their way to it.

One practical note for planning: it is a countertop unit, so it needs a table of its own. If you are renting tables too, count one for the machine on top of whatever you need for food, because a popcorn machine and a buffet do not share a six-foot table comfortably.
